Application Hydrosilylation catalyst. For use in intramolecular hydrosilylation of an alkyne. In combination with CuCl2, catalyzes the photooxygenation of alcohols to aldehydes or ketones. Raw material for other platinum catalysts. Catalyst precursor for the reaction of silyl hydrides with olefins, hydrosilylation. Also used for the determination of potassium. Catalysis, electroplating, photography, platinum mirrors, printing for etching of zinc, producing fine color in glass and porcelain, indelible ink, microscopy.
